// STRUCTURED CABLING & CAT6 INSTALLATION — LOS ANGELES

NaMiSmart runs and terminates structured cabling — also called structured wiring — for homes, offices, retail, and commercial buildings throughout Burbank and Greater Los Angeles. Cameras, access points, and switches are only as reliable as the wiring behind them — so every run is built to spec, tested, and labeled at both ends. Whether it's a new-construction pre-wire or a retrofit through an existing building, we plan the cabling first so everything that plugs into it later just works.

// WHAT'S INCLUDED

The backbone, built to spec

Cat6 & Ethernet wiring

High-quality runs built to spec for speed and reliability.

Data drops & wall jacks

Connectivity exactly where you need it, cleanly terminated.

Patch panels & racks

Organized termination that's easy to service and expand.

Camera & AP cabling

PoE runs for cameras and access points, routed cleanly.

Clean labeling

Every cable documented so future changes are painless.

Commercial cabling

Low-voltage cabling for offices, retail, and larger buildings.

// WHY IT MATTERS

Everything plugs into the cabling first.

Cameras, access points, phones, and switches all depend on the wiring behind the walls. Get the cabling right and the whole system stays fast, stable, and simple to service for years.

// STRUCTURED CABLING FAQ

Common questions about structured cabling

How much does structured cabling cost in Los Angeles?

Cost depends on the number of runs, cable length, and whether it’s new construction or a retrofit through existing walls. We give a free on-site assessment and firm quote before starting, so you know the cost upfront rather than getting billed per unexpected wall.

What’s the difference between Cat6 and Cat6a cabling?

Cat6a supports higher speeds over longer distances and has better shielding against interference, which matters more in commercial buildings or runs near heavy electrical equipment. We’ll recommend the right spec for your property rather than defaulting to whichever is cheaper.

Can you run cabling in an existing building without tearing open walls?

In most cases, yes. We route through attics, crawl spaces, and existing conduit wherever possible, and use minimally invasive techniques for the runs that do need wall access — then patch and finish cleanly.

Do you label and document the cabling for future technicians?

Always. Every run is labeled at both ends and mapped to a patch panel diagram, so anyone servicing the system later — us or someone else — can actually understand what connects where.

Can structured cabling support both my cameras and Wi-Fi access points?

Yes — that’s exactly how we design it. PoE-rated Cat6 runs power and connect both cameras and access points off the same clean backbone, which is more reliable and easier to service than mixing separate ad-hoc wiring for each system.

Is structured cabling the same thing as structured wiring?

Yes, they’re the same thing — “structured wiring” and “structured cabling” both refer to a standardized, whole-building cabling system (Cat6/Ethernet runs, data drops, and patch panels) rather than one-off wiring run separately for each device.
