Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 10, 2026NaMiSmart ("NaMiSmart," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable law.
This Privacy Policy explains how NaMiSmart collects, uses, retains, discloses, and protects personal information when you:
- Visit or interact with
namismart.comor another website operated by NaMiSmart that links to this Privacy Policy; - Submit an inquiry or request an estimate;
- Communicate with us by email, telephone, web form, or another authorized communication method;
- Purchase or inquire about our products or services;
- Engage us to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, monitor, manage, or support security-camera, networking, Wi-Fi, structured-cabling, access-control, NVR, DVR, VMS, or related systems; or
- Otherwise interact with NaMiSmart in a business or customer capacity.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected online and through our offline business activities. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of manufacturers, cloud-platform providers, property owners, employers, schools, customers, or other third parties that may operate systems installed or serviced by NaMiSmart.
By using our website, submitting information to us, or engaging our services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
NaMiSmart is a sole proprietorship based in the Greater Los Angeles area of California. We provide professional security-camera systems, networking and Wi-Fi services, structured cabling, access-control solutions, system maintenance, remote technical support, and related technology services for homes, businesses, schools, hotels, apartment and condominium properties, commercial properties, and other customers.
For privacy-related questions or requests, contact:
NaMiSmart
Los Angeles, California
Email: sales@namismart.com
Please include "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled by NaMiSmart in connection with:
- Our public website and online forms;
- Estimate and project inquiries;
- Sales and customer communications;
- Site surveys and consultations;
- Installation and configuration services;
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and remote support;
- Customer and equipment records;
- Invoices, warranties, purchases, and project documentation;
- Security-camera, NVR, DVR, VMS, networking, Wi-Fi, and access-control support; and
- Other services provided directly by NaMiSmart.
This Privacy Policy does not automatically apply to personal information controlled solely by one of our customers. For example, a property owner, employer, school, hotel, apartment operator, retailer, or other customer may independently determine where cameras are installed, what information is recorded, who may access recordings, how long recordings are retained, and how the system is used. That customer is responsible for its own privacy notices, signage, employee disclosures, consents, retention practices, and legal compliance.
When NaMiSmart accesses a customer-controlled system solely to perform requested services, we generally process the relevant information on the customer's instructions and for the limited purpose of providing those services.
3. Personal Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with NaMiSmart.
A. Information You Provide Through Our Website
When you submit a contact or estimate form, we may collect:
- Full name;
- Company, organization, or property name;
- Email address;
- Telephone number;
- Property type;
- Service or services requested;
- Project city, ZIP code, or general location;
- Desired project timing;
- Project descriptions;
- Information contained in correspondence with us; and
- Any other information you voluntarily include in the form.
Our website does not currently request a complete street address through the public estimate form. We may request a service address later when needed to evaluate, schedule, or perform a project.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, payment-card information, medical information, alarm codes, passwords, access credentials, or other highly sensitive information through a general website form unless we specifically request it through an appropriate method.
B. Customer and Project Information
When you request or receive services, we may collect:
- Customer and authorized-contact names;
- Business or organization names;
- Billing, installation, and service addresses;
- Email addresses and telephone numbers;
- Project requirements and property information;
- Equipment preferences and technical requirements;
- Quotes, estimates, proposals, work orders, invoices, and payment records;
- Product, equipment, warranty, and vendor-purchase records;
- Service history and maintenance records;
- Communications concerning the project;
- Site photographs or documentation when reasonably necessary;
- Network diagrams, device inventories, equipment models, and serial numbers;
- Internet Protocol addresses, Media Access Control addresses, device identifiers, and configuration information;
- Usernames, administrative credentials, recovery information, or access tokens when necessary and expressly authorized for ongoing support;
- Access-control configuration information;
- Technical-support and troubleshooting records; and
- Other information reasonably necessary to provide the requested services.
We do not ordinarily collect payment-card information directly through our website. When payment services are introduced or third-party payment providers are used, payment information may be processed directly by the applicable provider under its own privacy policy and security practices.
C. Technical and Website-Usage Information
Our website host, form provider, security systems, or standard server infrastructure may automatically receive limited technical information when you visit or use the website, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Browser type and version;
- Device type;
- Operating system;
- Referring page or website;
- Pages requested;
- Approximate location derived from an Internet Protocol address;
- Date and time of access;
- Error, diagnostic, and security logs; and
- Information used to identify spam, fraud, abuse, or malicious activity.
The website is currently hosted using Vercel, although we may change hosting providers in the future. Contact-form submissions are currently processed through Web3Forms and delivered to our business email environment. Communications and business records may be stored using Google Workspace, Gmail, and Google Drive.
These providers may process technical or submitted information to provide hosting, form delivery, storage, security, fraud prevention, and related services to NaMiSmart.
D. Information Collected During Security and Networking Services
With customer authorization, NaMiSmart may access information contained in customer-controlled systems to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, or support those systems. Depending on the project, this may include access to:
- Security-camera live views;
- NVR, DVR, or VMS interfaces;
- Stored camera recordings;
- Camera and system event logs;
- User and administrator accounts;
- Network controllers;
- Routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points;
- Network configuration information;
- Connected-device information;
- Access-control systems;
- Access logs and badge information;
- Device-health information;
- Cloud-managed equipment portals; and
- System alerts, diagnostics, or audit logs.
NaMiSmart accesses these systems only when reasonably necessary to provide requested services, when authorized by the customer or an authorized representative, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
E. Security Footage
NaMiSmart does not operate a general-purpose surveillance-footage storage service and does not ordinarily retain customer surveillance recordings.
In limited situations, a customer may specifically request that we locate, export, download, or temporarily preserve a particular recording—for example, to prevent it from being overwritten by the customer's recording system. In such cases:
- We act at the customer's request and under the customer's authorization;
- We limit the activity to the requested footage and purpose;
- We may temporarily store or transfer the footage as reasonably necessary;
- We seek to transfer the footage to the customer or the customer's designated recipient promptly; and
- We delete our temporary copy after transfer or completion of the requested task, ordinarily within a few hours, unless a longer period is requested by the customer or required for legal, security, evidentiary, or technical reasons.
Customers are responsible for confirming that their collection, recording, retention, disclosure, and use of video or audio comply with applicable laws, notices, consents, policies, contractual requirements, and property rules.
F. AI Camera and Analytics Information
NaMiSmart may install or configure systems containing features such as person detection, vehicle detection, object classification, perimeter or line-crossing detection, smart video search, facial-recognition capabilities, license-plate recognition, motion detection, audio capabilities, occupancy or traffic analytics, and other automated video-analysis features.
Unless NaMiSmart expressly agrees otherwise in writing, information produced by these features is stored on or through the customer's equipment, account, NVR, DVR, VMS, or selected cloud platform. NaMiSmart does not independently collect or use such information for its own purposes merely because it installed or serviced the system.
The customer determines whether to enable these capabilities and remains responsible for ensuring that their deployment and use are lawful and appropriate.
G. Access-Control Information
When installing or servicing access-control systems, NaMiSmart may encounter names, badge identifiers, access permissions, entry and exit logs, schedules, credentials, or other information maintained by the customer.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the customer controls this information. NaMiSmart accesses it only as needed to install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, or support the system. NaMiSmart does not independently use employee, resident, student, visitor, or contractor access records for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
H. Credentials and Remote Access
When a customer requests continuing technical support, system management, or remote assistance, NaMiSmart may retain authorized credentials or technical access information, including administrative usernames, passwords, recovery codes, access tokens, device identifiers, system addresses, network configuration details, and vendor-platform account information.
Whether NaMiSmart retains access depends on the project and the customer's instructions.
Where reasonably practicable, customers should maintain their own current administrator credentials and should notify NaMiSmart promptly when access must be changed or revoked. Customers may request that retained credentials or remote access be removed, subject to technical limitations and any continuing service obligations.
4. Sources of Personal Information
We may collect personal information from:
- You directly;
- Your company, employer, property manager, authorized representative, or agent;
- A property owner, tenant, resident, employee, contractor, or project participant;
- Customer-controlled camera, network, access-control, or technology systems;
- Service providers supporting our website or business operations;
- Equipment manufacturers and vendor platforms;
- Publicly available sources;
- Referrals; and
- Other persons who reasonably believe you are involved in or authorized to discuss a project.
If you provide information about another person, you represent that you have appropriate authority to provide it for the relevant business or service purpose.
5. How We Use Personal Information
NaMiSmart may use personal information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates and proposals, schedule consultations and installations, provide products and services, install and maintain customer systems, communicate about projects, maintain records, process invoices, authenticate users, preserve requested footage, diagnose technical problems, protect systems, detect fraud, improve our website and operations, send permitted communications, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and carry out other purposes disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.
We do not use customer surveillance footage, facial-recognition information, license-plate information, access-control records, or network credentials to build advertising profiles.
6. Communications and Marketing
A. Inquiry and Service Communications
When you submit an estimate or contact form, you authorize NaMiSmart to contact you concerning your inquiry using the contact information you provide. Submitting an inquiry is not an agreement to receive automated marketing text messages.
B. Promotional Emails
NaMiSmart may send occasional promotional or follow-up emails to existing customers or people who have submitted an inquiry, where permitted by law. You may opt out by using the unsubscribe method included in the message or by emailing sales@namismart.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. We may continue sending non-promotional messages concerning active inquiries, projects, appointments, transactions, warranties, or support requests.
C. Text Messages
NaMiSmart does not currently operate an automated promotional text-message program. If we introduce marketing text messages in the future, we will implement an appropriate consent process and provide any legally required disclosures and opt-out instructions before sending such messages.
D. Newsletter or Mailing List
NaMiSmart does not currently offer a general public newsletter signup. If we introduce one, we will provide a clear signup mechanism and an unsubscribe method and will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A. Current Use
NaMiSmart does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral-advertising cookies, heat maps, or session-recording tools on its website. Our hosting provider, form provider, or security infrastructure may use essential technologies needed to deliver the website, process forms, prevent spam, maintain security, or diagnose technical errors.
B. Future Analytics
NaMiSmart may introduce privacy-conscious website analytics in the future, including services such as Vercel Analytics or Google Analytics. If nonessential analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated, a cookie notice or preference tool will be implemented when legally required, and visitors will be given applicable choices.
C. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow users to delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website functionality.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is not a universally accepted technical or legal standard governing all Do Not Track signals, our website does not currently respond to traditional Do Not Track browser settings in a standardized manner.
NaMiSmart does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Therefore, a sale- or sharing-related opt-out signal should not be necessary for our current practices. If our practices change or applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will take reasonable steps to process the signal as required.
9. How We Disclose Personal Information
NaMiSmart does not sell personal information. NaMiSmart does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.
A. Service Providers
We may provide information to companies that perform services on our behalf, such as website-hosting providers, form-processing providers, email and communications providers, cloud-storage providers, security and spam-prevention providers, equipment manufacturers, cloud-managed camera or network platforms, product suppliers, accounting and professional advisers, and other vendors reasonably necessary to support a project or our operations. Current environments may include Vercel, Web3Forms, Google Workspace, Gmail, and Google Drive.
B. Customer-Selected Manufacturers and Platforms
When a customer selects or authorizes cloud-connected cameras, network equipment, access-control systems, NVR/VMS platforms, or manufacturer applications, information may be processed by the applicable manufacturer or platform provider under their own terms and privacy policies. Customers should review the privacy settings, storage locations, retention options, and security features of their selected platforms.
C. Authorized Persons
We may disclose information to the customer, a property owner, a company representative, a property manager, an IT administrator, or another person whom the customer authorizes to receive the information. We may request verification of authority before providing sensitive project, credential, system, or footage information.
D. Legal, Safety, and Compliance Disclosures
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a subpoena, court order, warrant, or applicable law; protect the rights, property, or safety of NaMiSmart or others; investigate suspected fraud or security incidents; enforce an agreement; establish or defend legal claims; or prevent death, serious bodily injury, or a significant security threat.
E. Business Transfer
If NaMiSmart undergoes a sale, merger, reorganization, or other business transfer, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
F. With Consent or at Your Direction
We may disclose information when you request, authorize, or consent to the disclosure.
10. No Sale or Behavioral-Advertising Sharing
NaMiSmart does not exchange personal information for money. NaMiSmart also does not currently disclose personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not upload customer lists to advertising platforms, operate third-party behavioral-advertising pixels on our website, allow advertising networks to build profiles of NaMiSmart visitors, or sell customer leads.
If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide legally required notices and choices before applying the changed practice.
11. Data Retention
NaMiSmart retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide services, support customers, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights.
A. Unconverted Inquiries
Information from inquiries that do not become projects is generally retained for approximately one to two years, unless the person requests deletion, a longer period is reasonably necessary, the information relates to a dispute or security concern, the person becomes a customer, or retention is required by law.
B. Customer and Project Records
Customer, project, equipment, invoice, warranty, and service records may be retained for the duration of the customer relationship and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary to support future maintenance, establish service history, maintain accounting records, resolve disputes, or meet legal and contractual obligations. Because customers may need information about installed systems years after installation, certain project records may be retained for an extended period.
C. Credentials and Remote-Management Information
Credentials and remote-access information may be retained while NaMiSmart is authorized to provide ongoing management, maintenance, or remote support. They may be deleted, returned, disabled, or transferred when the service relationship ends, the customer revokes authorization, or retention is no longer reasonably necessary.
D. Surveillance Footage
Customer footage temporarily preserved or exported at the customer's request is generally retained only until it is transferred to the customer or designated recipient and the requested task is completed — ordinarily a matter of hours. A longer period may apply if the customer expressly requests it, transfer cannot be completed immediately, a dispute requires preservation, or applicable law requires retention.
E. Backups and Technical Logs
Information may remain temporarily in routine backups, security logs, email archives, or disaster-recovery systems until overwritten or deleted through normal retention cycles.
12. Security
NaMiSmart uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that we consider reasonable and appropriate for the nature of the information and the size and nature of our operations, including access restrictions, account authentication, password protections, multi-factor authentication when available, secure cloud services, device security, limited retention, controlled remote access, and vendor security features.
No website, email system, remote-access method, cloud platform, or security control is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise or guarantee that information will never be accessed, lost, altered, disclosed, or destroyed without authorization.
Customers are responsible for protecting their own passwords and credentials, limiting administrator access, enabling multi-factor authentication where available, maintaining secure network environments, updating authorized-user lists, promptly revoking access for former employees or vendors, and notifying us promptly of suspected misuse or compromise affecting systems we manage.
13. Customer-Controlled Systems and Customer Responsibilities
Customers generally determine where cameras and sensors are installed, what areas are monitored, whether audio or analytics features are enabled, how long footage and logs are retained, who may access recordings and systems, whether employees or visitors receive notice, and how information produced by the system is used.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, NaMiSmart does not determine these purposes on the customer's behalf. Customers are responsible for obtaining legal advice concerning their use of surveillance, audio recording, biometric technologies, employee monitoring, and other regulated technologies. Installation or technical availability of a feature does not constitute legal advice or a representation that the customer may lawfully use that feature in every location or circumstance.
14. Schools and Information Concerning Children
NaMiSmart may install or service customer-controlled systems at schools and other properties where minors may be present. Such work does not mean that NaMiSmart independently collects student information for its own purposes. Schools and educational institutions are responsible for determining what information their systems collect, their legal authority to collect it, required notices or consents, retention practices, and authorized uses.
The NaMiSmart website and services are intended for adults, property owners, business representatives, and authorized customers. They are not directed to children. Individuals under 18 should not submit personal information through our website without involvement from a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information directly to NaMiSmart, contact sales@namismart.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
15. Privacy Rights and Requests
Subject to identity verification, legal limitations, technical feasibility, and applicable exceptions, you may request that we confirm whether we maintain personal information about you, provide access to certain information, correct inaccurate information, delete certain information, stop promotional emails, or explain our handling of your information.
To submit a request, email sales@namismart.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Include your full name, the email address or telephone number associated with your interaction, your relationship to the project or account, and a clear description of the request. Do not send passwords, government identification, or highly sensitive credentials with the initial request.
A. Verification
We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. We may deny or limit a request when we cannot reasonably verify the requester's identity or authority.
B. Authorized Agents
An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by applicable law. We may require evidence of authorization and may verify the request directly with the person concerned.
C. Exceptions
We may retain or decline to delete information when reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, provide requested services, maintain system or project history, detect or prevent security incidents, exercise or defend legal rights, comply with legal requirements, preserve evidence, honor a legal hold, protect the rights or safety of NaMiSmart or others, or maintain suppression records showing that someone opted out of marketing.
D. Timing
We will seek to acknowledge and respond to verified requests within a reasonable period. The time required may depend on the request's complexity, the location and age of the records, legal requirements, and whether additional verification is necessary.
E. No Discrimination
NaMiSmart will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.
16. California Privacy Disclosures
NaMiSmart is a small sole proprietorship and, based on its current operations, does not represent that it is presently a "business" subject to every requirement of the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Nevertheless, this Privacy Policy is intended to provide meaningful transparency to California residents.
